Excerpt from the book:
The experienced police officer was now in a very difficult situation, shoot to kill or? He chose lethal force to protect the trainee. It’s been almost 10 years now since that night, and I am very thankful for what happened.
The police officers did what they had to do… I would’ve probably done the same thing if I were in their shoes.
I do have a reoccurring dream, memory, or whatever it is. I’m standing in front of my house with a loose-fitting sweatshirt. No sound, just two headlights shining at me. Feeling something warm running down my belly, something like warm syrup. Then I realize… you shot me! You shot me! Why did you shoot me? Then I fall to the ground.
I needed something horrible to happen to me. My belief system was a mess, and I was hopelessly addicted to VA drugs. It was a wonderful horrible experience… that 45 caliber hollow point bullet started me on my journey to happiness.
